One of the better creativity books. -
I teach journal workshops and have (and love) almost every creativity book out there. Patty Digh's Life is a Verb is among my top 2-3 ever. The writing is wonderful and I've seen so many things I've not seen before. Her insights and observations immediately put one in tune with their inner creative self and there much food for thought. Big Heart Opener -
This is the book I would have written, if I could write a book. This is what I have wanted to teach my children, what I want my grandchildren to know. It is full of lovely quotes and poems, anecdotes, fresh ways to look at the world, and mostly it affirms Life in a big way. I can read two pages a day if I want, and my heart opens wide. I'm a better person for it. It is funny, poignant, provocative, heart-warming and inspiring.
The author is mother to two daughters, one a teenager, one a toddler, and we see life through her eyes as a mother, as well as life through the eyes of her children. The world is a better place because of her life, teachings, commitment and insight.
When I used to recommend books, I would say: "This is one I would want if I were stranded on a desert island." However, this book would not be needed if I were stranded; it IS absolutely essential for navigating the sea of humanity we live among every day. Thank you, Patti.
Collage book it isn't - 
This is a lovely book for the reflectively inclined. Since it was in the collage collection that's why I bought it..Lovely book, been there done that. want collage only.
Ready, Set, Live! -
I fell in love with this book before it even hit the shelves. I had read a story in Skirt! magazine by Patti, and had been following her blog. I knew the minute I had my hands on it I would devour it from cover to cover - which I did. I laughed, I cried, I commiserated. Most of all, I agreed. The world would be a better place if we all lived more intentionally. Which is exactly what I intend to do today!
