Priceless advice, really down-to-earth attitude to weddings. There's one wedding experience described that cost less than $2000 and one that cost nearly ten times that - with many others inbetween! This is not only a guide for the budget-conscious, but a great overall how-to for anyone planning an intimate wedding. Many tips on how to save money, but the focus is on planning a special day - YOUR WAY. Ignore the multi-billion dollar wedding industry's pushy advice - this author is really symphathetic to the stress of the whole thing, and she will give you advice that makes it a joy to organise and experience. An Average Wedding Planning Book - 
Unfortunately, this isn't much different than most other wedding planning books. "Look for this for flowers." "Look for this for invitations." "Here's budgeting advice you've heard before."
We intend to have less than 25 people at our wedding and I was looking for some creative ideas or stories. While the snapshots of real weddings were OK, it was a lot of same old white dress, same old cake... Since the small weddings I've been to have been NON-traditional, I was expecting more of that. Unfortunately, I didn't find what I expected.

This book has a lot of ideas to do wedding on a budget more than creating intimate weddings. The book needs more pictures because it only features a few pictures of the couples in black and white, low resolution photos. We want to actually see pictures of how to make a wedding feel intimate.

Lots of info. packed inside this book and there are website references throughout. Provides a variety of ideas to make a small wedding special and unique. I'd definitely recommend to anyone planning a small wedding.
