I originally bought this book as a gift for a friend. After leafing through it, I was so taken by the stunning photos and lyrical text that I kept the book for myself! Phrases like "Dogs are subjects in the kingdom of now..." and "Dogs mirror us back to ourselves in unmistakable ways that, if we are open, foster true understanding and change." totally captured me and are reminders why I'm going to have to eventually get another dog after cancer took mine from me. The book captures the essence of the human/dog relationship.
