Insight into Justice Thomas - 
Clarence Thomas writes candidly and honestly about his life experiences. He shares both the good and the bad. He is both inspiring and able to admit to his mistakes. Even those who do not share his views can relate to some part of the justice's experiences. Thomas offers an intimate view into his childhood, and the trials and consequences he endured as an African-American raised in the Deep South. His journey from Savannah, Georgia to the highest court in the land is truly incredible, regardless of one's beliefs. Thomas is honest and very matter-of-fact, and doesn't shy away from delicate topics. In addition, his story is heartwarming and endearing. He presents a rare insight into his personal life and introduces us to the ones who made him who he is.

This was truly an inspiration to me... making me realize just how lazy I had been in my life. Thomas Sowell's bios did the same and are about as awesome as this one.
I read this a while ago, did not take notes so I can't provide a better review. However, if you're conservative (or don't mind our politics), this will keep you turning pages.

Justice Thomas' life story is one I will not forget. It's one that is compelling, inspiring, eye-opening, and sobering. I learned so much about this man through this work, and have a newfound respect for him and through his story I've gained a renewed respect for my own hard-working forefathers. I also learned a little about our political leaders, and the deep flaws that continue to affect our nation to this day. Thank you Justice Thomas for writing your story. I will be passing it on to the younger members of my family.
